Canadian Tire Centre

Canadian Tire Centre, Ottawa ONis a multi-purpose arena, located in Ottawa, Ontario. It is known primarily as the home of the Ottawa Senators, however it has also hosted many other events including the Juno Awards, the Canadian University Men’s Basketball Championship, many different Concerts and Ice and Children’s Shows. Originally known as The Palladium upon opening in January 1996, the name was changed to Corel Centre which the venue was known as from February 1996 until February 2006. The Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame is located here as well as restaurants, a fitness complex and several businesses.

Directions

Canadian Tire Centre is a quick 15 minute drive from downtown Ottawa – take Highway 417 (the Queensway) west to the Palladium Drive exit. This 4 lane arena-specific interchange will bring you right to Scotiabank Place’s doors.

If you’re travelling from south of Ottawa, follow Highway 31 or Highway 416 to the 417. Proceed west on Highway 417 to the Palladium Drive exit.

From the Outaouais region, take the Portage Bridge across the Ottawa River. Proceed on Wellington Street to Lyon Street, and south on Lyon Street to Highway 417 (the Queensway). Follow the Queensway west to the Palladium Drive exit.

If you are coming from the west, take either Highway 7 (Carleton Place, Smiths Falls, Perth) or Highway 17 (Almonte, Pakenham, Arnprior, Renfrew) to Highway 417 (the Queensway). Follow the Queensway east to the Palladium Drive exit.

Parking

There are 6,500 parking spaces at Canadian Tire Centre. Rates vary by event, please check event information for event specific parking rates.

Parking spaces for guests with disabilities are available on a first-come, first-served basis in Lot 3 at the southeast corner of Canadian Tire Centre. For further information please contact Canadian Tire Centre Guest Services department at 599-0128.

Box Office Hours

The Box Office is located on the east side of the building at the main entrance, Gate 1. The hours of operation from Labour Day to April 30 are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. From May 1 to Labour Day, the Box Office is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday and closed Saturdays, except during events.

When picking up tickets on the day of the event, please arrive at least 1 hour prior to avoid line ups.

Accessible Seating

For inquiries concerning wheelchair seating, please contact the Guest Services department at (613) 599-0128.

Elevators for access to gallery level suites are located at Gate 2 & 3 (north side and south side of the building). Guests with disabilities, gallery level suites holders and members of the media should be granted priority.

General Rules

Recording devices such as, audio or video – are not permitted in Canadian Tire Centre.

To ensure the safety of all Canadian Tire Centre guests, certain events may require a search as a condition of entry.

Canadian Tire Centre is a smoke-free building. Smoking is not permitted in any part of the building except within exterior designated areas. The outside smoking areas are located on the 200 Level at the west and south ends of Canadian Tire Centre, across from Sections 208 and 215, one location outside at Gate 1 and one located outside Gate 2.

Unless otherwise stated, guests will be able to enter the arena 60 minutes before the scheduled start time of a non-Senators event. Doors open at 5:30 pm.

Children Rules

Most Canadian Tire Centre events do not require a child who is less than two-years-old to have a ticket unless they are to occupy a seat. This policy will vary by event, so please inquire at time of ticket purchase.
