Sleep Train Arena
(formerly ARCO Arena and Power Balance Pavilion) is a multi purpose arena, located in Sacramento, Ca and is the home of the Sacramento Kings. This is actually the second arena to have the Arco Arena name, the first was a small 10,000 seat arena where the kings played after moving to Sacramento from Kansas City.
Sleep Train Arena hosts roughly 200 events for almost 2 million spectators a year, and can seat over 17,000 depending on the event. When converting to and ice rink, the arena seating is actually moved 90 degrees compared to the basketball configuration. The arena floor can actually hold an international sized ice rink – which is 15 feet wider than a standard NHL rink.
In addition to basketball, Sleep Train Arena also hosts: concerts, WWE, MMA, ice and children’s shows, Professional Bull Riding and monster trucks. The arena also holds graduation ceremonies for local high schools and the California HS basketball championships. There is also an unfinished baseball stadium next to the arena.
Capacity: Basketball – 17,317
